An Evil Motherhood - Walt Ruding - An impressionist novel by the very mysterious Walt Ruding. Creepy spider web cover design with a frontispiece by Aubrey Beardsley. The original production run featured Beardsley's illustration of the "black coffee" art from his previous work (Vol V of The Yellow Book). However, the publisher and author were not happy and less than 12 copies were issued with the "black coffee" illustration. Beardsley was required to resubmit a "portrait of the author" for the frontispiece.
